Tarique urges youth to embrace modern education in AI era
  25, October, 2025, 10:15:23:PM

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stressed the importance of quality, modern education for students to succeed in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world.

Addressing a merit scholarship ceremony via video conference on Saturday, he said, “We are now living in the age of Artificial Intelligence. Talent and skill—not privilege—are opening doors globally. To survive with dignity, our youth must be equipped with scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and practical learning.”

The event, held at Pakundia Government High School grounds, celebrated top performers in a scholarship exam organized by the Khandaker Shamsul Alam Foundation as part of its "31-Point Program for National Reconstruction."

Tarique Rahman emphasized that educational background—whether school, madrasa, or college—matters less than the ability to adapt to modern challenges.

“No matter where you study, focus on gaining real skills in science, technology, and critical thinking. Dedication and strong willpower are the only way forward,” he said.

He added that the BNP aims to rebuild Bangladesh’s education system to meet future demands, integrating innovation, digital literacy, and global standards.

A total of 10,211 students from 84 institutions across Pakundia Upazila participated in the four-category exam. The top 10 students in each group received scholarships, while all participants were given consolation prizes.

The program was chaired by Kishoreganj District BNP President Md. Shariful Alam and attended by senior party leaders, including advisor Abdus Salam, education affairs chief Mahadi Amin, press wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan, Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib, and local dignitaries.

Khandaker Al Ashraf Mamun, Chairman of the organizing foundation, oversaw the event, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and equitable opportunities.

As Bangladesh stands at a crossroads of change, Tarique Rahman’s message was clear: “Talent is born—but greatness is built through hard work, vision, and modern education.”
