DUCSU-JUCSU victory to influence next national polls: Jamaat Ameer
  20, September, 2025, 9:34:10:PM

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that the Islamic Chhatra Shibir’s victories in the DUCSU and JUCSU elections, achieved by the grace of Allah, will have an impact on the upcoming national elections, Insha’Allah.

He made the remarks while speaking at the central women’s division Majlis-e-Shura session held at Al-Falah Auditorium at Moghbazar in Dhaka on Saturday.Traditional clothing

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed hope that the party will contest in 300 constituencies in the upcoming elections and called upon supporters to provide financial and other assistance to ensure victory. He praised the sacrifices made during the July-August 2024 movements and asked Allah to reward those efforts both in this world and the Hereafter.

Reflecting on his own recovery from a long-term illness, he said both health and sickness are blessings from Allah, and gratitude must be expressed. He also remembered the victims and sufferers under the previous 15.5 years of “fascist rule,” praying for their recovery and well-being.

Dr. Shafiqur emphasized that leaders endured various forms of imprisonment and oppression under the Awami League government with patience, and the current freedom to work is the result of those sacrifices. “Our duty is to perform our responsibilities; the outcome belongs to Allah. We must remain humble and serve the people,” he said.

The session, chaired by Central Women’s Division Secretary Muhtaramma Nurunnisa Siddiqua, included speeches on “Political Situation and National Election 2026” by Secretary General and former MP Prof. Mia Golam Parwar. Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim led Darasul Quran.

Among others, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Mashum and elected Shura members from across the country were present on the occasion.
