Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo Opens
  24, June, 2026, 11:45:42:PM

International: The fourth China International Supply Chain Expo officially opened on June 22, bringing together businesses from around the world to promote cooperation and enhance the resilience of global industrial and supply chains.

As the world`s first national-level exhibition dedicated to supply chains, this year`s event has attracted 676 Chinese and international companies, including several globally influential multinational enterprises participating for the first time.

The growing interest among foreign companies highlights the Expo`s increasing importance as a platform for integrating into global production and supply chain networks. It also reflects the strong willingness of businesses worldwide to seek partners, expand cooperation, and explore new opportunities.

At a time when protectionism is exerting pressure on the global economy, geopolitical tensions are intensifying, and industrial and supply chains are facing disruptions, the Expo demonstrates China`s commitment to strengthening the resilience of global supply networks and firmly supporting the multilateral trading system through concrete actions.

The vulnerability of global industrial and supply chains has become increasingly evident in recent years, making international cooperation more essential than ever. Maintaining stable and efficient supply chains has now emerged as a shared priority across industries worldwide.

The Expo provides an efficient platform connecting upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises, as well as companies of different sizes. It enables participants to identify complementary strengths, foster partnerships, address disruptions caused by geopolitical conflicts, and encourage deeper participation in global value chains.

In recent years, China`s role as a key hub in global production and supply chains has become increasingly prominent. Many multinational corporations have leveraged China`s vast market, technological capabilities, and institutional openness to pursue a strategy of “based in China, serving the world.”

Supported by its comprehensive industrial system, strong supply capabilities, vast domestic market, advanced infrastructure, efficient logistics network, and highly skilled workforce, China has become an attractive destination for global industries and innovation resources. These advantages have helped position the country as a “stabilizing anchor” for the global supply chain and a source of certainty for the world economy.

China is also promoting industrial transformation through digital and green technologies, helping global value chains move toward low-carbon and intelligent development. At the same time, it is encouraging developing countries to integrate into medium- and high-end industrial chains, thereby promoting balanced, coordinated, and inclusive global development.

David Dyson, Trade Commissioner at the Australian Embassy in China, noted that the Expo brings together companies from across the value chain and facilitates cooperation in areas such as clean energy, infrastructure, and high-end services—factors that are crucial for enhancing the resilience of global production and supply chains.

Against the backdrop of an increasingly uncertain and volatile international environment, stable and efficient industrial and supply chains remain a vital foundation for sustainable global economic growth and a matter of common interest for all countries.

As economic globalization continues to deepen interdependence among nations, maintaining an open and cooperative international environment, expanding global collaboration, and building more equitable, inclusive, and constructive industrial and supply chain partnerships will be essential to injecting greater momentum into world economic development.
