Royal Publications organizes `Royal Literary Awards-2026`

This prestigious event held at the auditorium of the World Literature Center in the capital turned into a unique festival of literature, culture and creativity.

A total of 20 writers, poets, literary figures and cover artists were honored in various categories in recognition of their special contributions to literature, publishing and art and literature at the event presided over by Royal Publications CEO Md. Monirul Islam (Royal).

The literary award in the `Best Manuscript Award` category went to Ekushey Padak-winning freedom fighter and renowned writer Dr. Arupratan Chowdhury, literary editor of the daily Naya Diganta and prominent novelist Jamshed Wazed, novelists Khan Akhtar Hossain, Umme Kulsum Jhumu, actress Sifat Nusrat and Professor Rokeya Begum. In addition, several other talented writers, poets, literary figures and cover artists were honored for their important contributions in various fields of literature, publishing and art and literature.

The event was graced by Ekushey Padak-winning renowned writer and freedom fighter Dr. Arupratan Chowdhury, literary editor of Daily Naya Diganta and prominent novelist Jamshed Wazed, president of Beejbista Foundation Dr. M. A. Sobhan, and publisher and editor of Daily Swadesh Bichitra Ashok Dhar.

The speakers in their speeches emphasized the essential role of literature and culture in the spread of literary practice, the development of new writers, and the building of a thoughtful, humane, and value-based society. They said that literature is not just a medium of entertainment; it is one of the most powerful tools for social change, the development of human values, and creative thinking. They also expressed hope that such an event would play an important role in the development of literature and culture, in addition to building bridges between young and old writers.

The event turned into a lively literary gathering with the spontaneous participation of writers, poets, literary figures, researchers, readers and culture lovers from different parts of the country. The event, filled with awards, exchange of literary ideas, discussions on books and publications and cordial chats, became memorable, significant and inspiring for all those present.

Royal Publication`s publisher Md. Monirul Islam Royal said that Royal Publication will continue to organize such events in the future to encourage talented and promising writers of the country, in addition to working tirelessly for the development of literature and culture.
