5 suffer burns in Narayanganj gas explosion

At least five people, including four members of a family, sustained burn injuries in a fire triggered by a gas leak explosion at a flat in Madanpur of Narayanganj on Thursday morning.

The identities of the victims and the extent of their injuries could not be known immediately.

The injured were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka for treatment.

The institute`s emergency department residential surgeon Dr Shawon Bin Rahman confirmed the incident.
