Microbus catches fire in Farmgate

A running microbus caught fire in the capital`s Farmgate area on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at about 10AM in front of the Ananda Cinema Hall, causing brief panic among pedestrians.

Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot around 10:15AM and brought the blaze under control.

The fire was originated due to a mechanical fault, but no casualties were reported in this connection.

However, goods worth around Tk5 lakh inside the vehicle were completely burnt.
