No Irregularities or Corruption Will Be Tolerated: Civil Aviation Minister
  8, March, 2026, 11:13:2:PM

Kamrul Hasan: Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroza Khanam Rita, MP, has stated that no negligence, corruption, or irregularities will be tolerated in the country’s development activities. To ensure that the benefits of development reach the grassroots level, all relevant departments—including field-level administration—must work in a coordinated manner. She made these remarks on Sunday (March 8) while addressing a meeting with local government officials and public representatives at the conference room of the Manikganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office as the chief guest. The meeting was organized to make the activities of the local administration more dynamic, improve the quality of public services, and review the actual progress of ongoing development projects. The minister said, “The government has undertaken various development plans for the welfare of the people, and the primary responsibility for implementing these plans lies with the field-level administration. Therefore, accountability, transparency, and responsibility must be ensured to meet the expectations of the people.” She further noted that proper implementation of development projects at the local level would bring visible improvements to people’s living standards. In this regard, she emphasized maintaining transparency in project implementation, completing work within the stipulated time, and giving importance to public opinion. Addressing the officials present at the meeting, the minister said that everyone must work sincerely to ensure that government services reach people at their doorsteps. She particularly called for coordinated initiatives in the sectors of education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure development. Officials from various departments of the upazila administration, public representatives, political leaders, and members of the local civil society attended the meeting. Detailed discussions were held on the progress of various development activities in the upazila, improvement of government services, infrastructure development, agriculture, and social safety net programs. Earlier, the Civil Aviation Minister attended a meeting at the conference room of the Manikganj Deputy Commissioner’s office, participated in a program marking International Women’s Day, and later joined another discussion meeting at the conference room of the Saturia Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office. She also attended an iftar and prayer gathering organized by Zia Parishad as the chief guest.
