| A trader was killed in a road accident in Madarbari area of Chittagong city.
The accident occurred while crossing the road at Madarbari Shuvopur bus stand area on Thursday noon.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Azad, a resident of Medina Mosque area of Dewan Bazar in Didar Market area of the city.
According to locals, Azad died at around 12 noon, was crushed under a truck while crossing the road.
He was later rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
