Kaushik Bose, HSTU: Newly appointed Vice- Chancellor of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) Dr. M. Kamruzzaman has paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying a wreath at His portrait. 

 He laid a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi No. 32 in the capital around 12 noon on Thursday

Prof Dr. M. Kamruzzaman has been appointed as new VIce Chancellor of Hajee Mohammed Danesh Science & Technology University, Dinajpur for four years. With the approval of His Excellency Abdul Hamid the President and the Chancellor of the University has been given this appointment.

The education ministry issued a notice on 30 june over the appointment of the new VC.

 Before He was a  professor of agricultural economics department, Bangabandhu SheikhMujiburRahmanAgriculturalUniversity.

His father’ name Late A. K. M. Zahirul Hoque, mother’ name  Late Nargis Begam, He born in 1st december 1968 at chadpur district.

He graduated in Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics (Honors) from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) (session 1986-90 & Result published in 1993).  Then in 1996 from Bangabandhu SheikhMujiburRahmanAgriculturalUniversity (former IPSA) He obtained a post-graduate degree in Master of Science department of Agricultural Economics.  He completed His Doctor of Philosophy from Nagoya University, Japan in 2009.

He has a dynamic Teaching Experience. At first of His teaching life He worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Finance, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) from July 10, 1997 to November 12, 1999.

Then He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Finance, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) from November 13, 1999 to January 27, 2001.

After then He working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Bangabandhu SheikhMujiburRahmanAgriculturalUniversity (former IPSA) from 28 January 2001 to 29 May 2008.

He Worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Bangabandhu SheikhMujiburRahmanAgriculturalUniversity (former IPSA) from 30 May 2008 to 31 January 2012.

Before appointed as VC of HSTU, he has worked as a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Bangabandhu SheikhMujiburRahmanAgriculturalUniversity (former IPSA).

Worked as a Chief Scientific Investigator in “yield Gap and Technical Efficiency of Wheat Producers of Bangladesh Across Farm size and Agro ecological Zoning of Bangladesh” funded by the Ministry of Science and Information Technology of Government of Bangladesh.

Worked as a Principal Investigator in “CapacityBuilding of the Farmers Exporting Comparative Advantaged Horticultural Products in Bangladesh” funded by Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) of Bangladesh since May 14 2009 to May 13 2011.

Worked as a Principal Investigator in “Farm Differentials and Marketing Competence in Bangladesh Agriculture: A regional perspective analysis on major agricultural products” funded by the Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology of Government of Bangladesh since 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010. Worked as a Co-investigator in “Assessment of techno-socioeconomic resources and development of strategies for promoting food and economic securities of ethnic communities in Bangladesh” funded by Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) of Bangladesh since May 14 2009 to May 13 2011.Working as a Principal Investigator ‘in Studying the impact of government policies, comparative advantages, value chain activities and nutrition security of livestock product production in Bangladesh’ financed by Ministry of Education Government of Bangladesh.
