| (BSS)- Bangladesh U-17 national football team goalkeeper Alif Rahman Imtiaz firmly said they would take to the field to win the semifinal.
Bangladesh will play the first semifinal rival of the SAFF U-17 Championship against Pakistan scheduled to be held on September 25 at Racecourse Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
"We have won the last two matches of the group and we`ll take to the field to win the semifinal match no matter who will be our semifinal rival," said Imtiaz through a video message today (Monday).
He said the players are upbeat to give their and looking forward to qualify for the final match.
"Team manager Sharif Azizul Hasan Mohan said the boys are prepared for the semifinal and taking preparation as accordingly.
He informed that all the players are fit and sound before the semifinal clash.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh team skipped the day`s on field training, the footballers participated in yoga and swimming sessions at the team hotel.
Later, the footballers went to the field and enjoyed the game between India and Pakistan in the other group match.
Earlier, Bangladesh reached semifinal as group champions. They beat Nepal and host Sri Lanka by an identical margin of 4-0 goals in the group phase engagements.
