Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ mixes scandal, satire, and star power**
  19, September, 2025, 8:19:24:AM

Aryan Khan’s first directorial effort, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, makes a bold entrance as a seven-episode series blending scandal, satire, and plenty of star-studded cameos.

The show follows Delhi native Aasmaan Singh (played by Lakshya) as he climbs the ranks in the film industry, facing ruthless contracts, power struggles, and orchestrated relationships. It combines classic Bollywood masala with sharp inside jokes about the industry’s darker side — nepotism, PR spin, and more.

Packed with appearances from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Emraan Hashmi, and a self-parodying Karan Johar, the series doesn’t shy away from cheeky nods to Aryan’s own past controversies, including his drug case.

Though the romantic storylines feel weak and some twists predictable, the series shines through its witty writing and energetic performances, particularly from Raghav Juyal and Bobby Deol. With stylish visuals and numerous Easter eggs, Aryan’s debut is messy and indulgent but ultimately a lively, chaotic celebration of Bollywood culture.
