| On the occasion of the joint patrol and law enforcement operations on the Mekong River by China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, a special screening under the "Open-Air Cinema" initiative took place on Saturday (October 17) at the Jingha Police Dock in Jinghong City, Yunnan Province. Approximately 200 law enforcement officers from the four participating nations gathered to watch the documentary feature Shenzhou 13. Filmed from the personal perspectives of three Chinese taikonauts, the documentary captures breathtaking views of the vast cosmos alongside intimate, nuanced details of daily life and routine operations aboard the space station. This screening marks one of the milestone events celebrating the 10th anniversary of China Media Group’s (CMG) "Open-Air Cinema" public welfare screening tour. This year also commemorates the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the joint patrol and law enforcement mechanism along the Mekong River involving China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. Over the past 15 years, the law enforcement authorities of all four countries have worked in close coordination to maintain smooth navigation and ensure security along the waterway, providing a solid safeguard for sustained peace and stability across the Mekong River basin. These tangible outcomes of multilateral cooperation have garnered widespread recognition and high praise from regional governments and local communities alike.
