Under the guidance of the China Film Administration, and jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG) and the People`s Government of Zhejiang Province, the 2026 Yangtze River Delta International Youth Film Week officially opened in Ningbo. CMG President Shen Haixiong and Zhejiang Governor Liu Jie attended the opening ceremony.

Delivering an address, CMG Vice President Qi Zhuquan stated that CMG stands as a witness, chronicler, active participant, and facilitator of Chinese cinema’s development. On October 18, joining hands with Zhejiang Province, CMG launched the 2026 Yangtze River Delta International Youth Film Week. He characterized the event as a creative endeavor reflecting the generational continuity of light and shadow, an innovative practice of deep integration, and an expression of mutual learning and cultural exchange that traverses mountains and seas.

The objective of this year’s Film Week is to establish a professional, comprehensive cinematic platform; support young talent in filmmaking and creative innovation; nurture emerging cinematic forces; accelerate the deployment of cutting-edge film technology; and invigorate international cinematic exchanges.

The 2026 Yangtze River Delta International Youth Film Week will conclude on the evening of October 23. The event brings together delegates from various countries—including Russia, Belarus, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Singapore—alongside prominent film personalities from China`s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as representative young filmmakers from across China and Africa.
