Adviser to the Prime Minister on Information Affairs Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman asserted on Tuesday (September 22) that isolated incidents of violence, such as cocktail explosions and bus arsons in Dhaka, cannot create a political crisis.

He made the remarks while responding to reporters` questions at a press briefing regarding government progress at the Secretariat.

"We do not see any political crisis. Politicians should accept that a democratically elected government will serve its five-year tenure," he said.

Regarding opposition political demonstrations, the adviser noted that the opposition is free to conduct long marches and press their demands.

He cited historical international protests, pointing out that major demonstration—such as the farmers` movement in India that shut down Delhi—focused on applying pressure over specific policy failures rather than demanding government resignation.

Addressing recent sporadic violence, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman remarked that isolated cocktail blasts and bus fires in parts of the capital would not succeed in creating a national political crisis.
