With these latest fatalities, the total death toll since March 15 has reached 499. Official figures state that 85 deaths have been confirmed as measles, while 414 children died exhibiting clinical symptoms of the virus.

The DGHS also reported 54 new laboratory-confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 8,329 since the start of the outbreak.

The situation remains critical as 1,261 children were identified with measles symptoms during the same period, with 1,104 of them requiring hospitalization.

Since mid-March, a total of 60,540 children have been identified with symptoms nationwide. While 1,075 patients were discharged from hospitals yesterday, health officials continue to monitor the high rate of transmission and hospital admissions.
