| International: The China International Garden Expo, a premier and globally influential event in the country’s landscape sector, has evolved significantly since its inception in 1997 as a floral exhibition. Today, it has grown into a comprehensive platform integrating ecosystem restoration, urban renewal, and cultural heritage. The 15th edition of the Expo has now opened with a refreshed and innovative outlook.
This year’s event stands out for its emphasis on greening initiatives and low-carbon technologies. It also highlights public participation, encouraging citizens to act as co-creators in reshaping the relationship between cities and nature.
Centered on four key themes—environmental empowerment, cultural revitalization, industrial development, and international dialogue—the Expo features an extensive program of more than 600 events. By integrating tourism, daily life, and advanced technologies, the exhibition presents a unique and multidimensional experience.
Trial operations began on February 14, during which the main venue, Wenzhou Garden Expo Park, has already attracted 2.18 million visitors, with an average daily attendance of around 40,000 people.
On the opening day, the “Wenzhou Declaration” was released, aiming to promote collaboration in developing people-centered urban models, enhancing environmental protection, and advancing innovative approaches to modern urban development with Chinese characteristics.
