  Addl 8,000 tons of diesel arrive country from india

Additional 8,000 metric tons of diesel through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline has arrived Dinajpur`s Parbatipur Railhead Oil Depot from Numaligarh Refinery Limited in India.

The fuel consignment was officially received early Saturday, according to officials involved in the operation.

Confirming this, Kazi Md Robiul Alam, Manager (Operations) at Meghna Petroleum Limited, stated that the unloading process for the 8,000 metric ton shipment was successfully completed late night and preparations are underway for the next delivery.

Officials further noted that with the latest delivery, Bangladesh has begun receiving its planned April fuel imports through the cross-border pipeline, marking continued progress in bilateral energy cooperation.

Another shipment of 5,000 metric tons of diesel is scheduled to arrive on April 17 through the same pipeline. Authorities confirmed that a total of 40,000 metric tons of fuel is expected to be imported during April via four separate consignments.
