As part of this initiative, new prospects have emerged to further expand trade relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

On Wednesday (April 8) at noon, a courtesy meeting was held at the “Padma” hall of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka between the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afrozza Khanam Rita, MP, the State Minister M. The discussion also highlighted the potential for attracting new investments in the aviation and tourism sectors through the implementation of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). According to relevant sources, the agreement is expected to facilitate infrastructure development, service modernization, and capacity building by leveraging international expertise.
Special focus was placed on the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport.

The United Kingdom’s interest in participating in ground handling operations at this modern terminal is being viewed as a positive signal for Bangladesh’s aviation sector.

Stakeholders believe that the inclusion of foreign investment and technical support will enhance service quality and help meet international standards.
Following the meeting, Minister Afrozza Khanam Rita stated that the government aims to transform the aviation and tourism sectors into sustainable and profitable industries.
