| Early vote counts from Bhola district indicate a strong lead for candidates of BNP and its alliance in all four constituencies, with preliminary results suggesting that the main contest is largely between the BNP-led alliance and Jamaat-e-Islami.
In Bhola-1, results from 30 of the total 114 polling centers show BNP alliance candidate Andaleeb Rahman Partho leading with 32,535 votes.
His closest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Nazrul Islam, has secured 22,085 votes, putting Partho well ahead at this early stage.
In Bhola-2, results from 10 of 138 centers show BNP candidate Hafiz Ibrahim, contesting with the sheaf of paddy symbol, receiving 10,140 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Fazlul Karim has polled 7,003 votes.
In Bhola-3, preliminary results from 22 of 119 centers indicate that BNP candidate Major Hafiz Uddin Ahmed is leading with 28,400 votes. His nearest competitor, BDP candidate Nezam-ul-Haq Naim, contesting with the cauliflower symbol, has received 10,003 votes.
Meanwhile, in Bhola-4, which comprises Charfassion and Monpura upazilas, results from 32 of 154 centers show BNP candidate Nurul Islam Nayan leading with 29,735 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Mostafa Kamal has secured 16,028 votes, while Abul Mokarram, contesting with the hand fan symbol, has received 2,732 votes.
Election officials cautioned that these figures are entirely preliminary, and the margins may change as results from the remaining polling centers are compiled.
