Pakistan High Commission Hosts Food Festival in Dhaka, Highlights Cultural Ties with Bangladesh

MM Rahmatullah: The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka organized a vibrant food festival on Friday, showcasing Pakistan’s rich and diverse culinary heritage while promoting cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The event attracted a large number of visitors, including members of the diplomatic community, academics, media professionals, and the general public. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of traditional Pakistani dishes and explore displays of renowned Pakistani fashion brands.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Imran Haider, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation. He noted that the strong turnout reflected the growing interest in Pakistan’s culture, cuisine, and fashion among the people of Bangladesh.

Speaking to media representatives, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of people-to-people contacts in strengthening bilateral relations. “Pakistan and Bangladesh share deep-rooted cultural bonds,” he said, adding that such engagements would continue in the future to further enhance friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Members of the diplomatic corps and their families also attended the festival, which continued throughout the day in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors from different backgrounds were able to experience Pakistan’s rich culinary traditions, vibrant cultural heritage, and dynamic fashion industry.

Participants praised the initiative of the Pakistan High Commission and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn more about Pakistan’s culture through food, fashion, and cultural interaction.
