Port workers have announced a fresh indefinite work stoppage at Chattogram Port from Sunday to press home their four-point demands.

At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Humayun Kabir, coordinator of Chattogram Port Protection Movement Council, announced the strike.

He said the strike will resume from 8AM on Sunday. Activities at the port`s outer anchorage would also remain suspended during the strike.

The protesters said the decision was taken after discussions among the movement leaders, as their demands remain unmet.
