Actor Adivi Sesh has cleared the air about the timeline for his much-awaited sequel to the 2018 spy thriller `Goodachari`, titled `G2`. After reports surfaced that the film`s release, originally planned for 2025, has been moved to 2026, Sesh clarified that the change isn`t a delay but a reflection of his creative rhythm.

The `Major` actor explained that taking time to craft his projects has always been part of his filmmaking approach. "I`ve always taken this long to make movies. It`s just that people are noticing it more now," he told Hindustan Times.

He added, "I took just as long to make Major during the pandemic, but people assumed it was because of COVID. Even `Goodachari` took two years to make. This is simply my pace – the goal is to create something so stunning that people don`t forget it."

On the subject of production costs, Sesh emphasised that quality, not financial pressure, drives his decisions. "So far, the pressure has only been about quality, not money, because there`s no wasteful spending. The producers know exactly where the money is going – no surprises. For me, a film begins and ends with the producer. It`s important that I keep my producer safe," he shared.

Sesh, who recently appeared in `Major` and `HIT 3`, also opened up about his upcoming Hindi projects. "I was offered two more films last month, but sometimes it has to catch your heart. The good thing is, one of them is being shot in Hindi. I`m looking forward to audiences seeing me again after Major in a few months," he revealed.

Reflecting on his growing reach, Sesh added, "I know that both `Dacoit` and `G2` are pan-India films, and they`re going to appeal to audiences everywhere."

Hailed as a slick, high-octane spy thriller, `G2` sees Adivi Sesh reprising his role as the sharp, relentless agent Gopi, now stepping into a wider international arena under the dynamic direction of Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.
