Four people, including two women, were killed and three others injured in a collision between a bus and an easy-bike at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj on Saturday.

The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be known immediately, the police officials said.

The accident took place around 12:00 pm at the Majhgati bus stand area on the Dhaka–Khulna highway.

According to locals, a Dhaka-bound bus belonging to Imad Paribahan, coming from Khulna, collided with an easy-bike traveling in the opposite direction, killing two people on the spot.

Five others, including a woman and a child, were seriously injured. They were first taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex and later referred to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared two more dead.

The deceased include two men and two women, whose identities have not yet been confirmed. Highway police said efforts are underway to identify the victims and investigate the accident.
