The government has withdrawn Education Secretary Siddiq Zobair amid growing student protests and public criticism over the handling of recent events in the education sector.

The decision was confirmed on Tuesday (22 July) by Mahfuz Alam, Secretary of the Public Administration Affairs Committee under the interim government, in an official statement.
