Scheduled to take place in September, the Women’s ODI World Cup will see Bangladesh using their only official preparatory platform — two warm-up matches — due to the absence of any international fixtures ahead of the event.

According to the schedule released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) last month, all eight participating teams will play warm-up games between September 25 and 28. Bangladesh will kick off their warm-up campaign against the Sri Lanka `A` team on September 25 at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Their final preparatory match will be against the Sri Lanka national women’s team on September 27.

Before entering this second training phase, the Tigresses had completed their initial camp in Sylhet and are currently taking a short rest. Despite the break, captain Nigar Sultana Joty and her teammates have been maintaining regular training sessions.

All coaching personnel remain with the squad to ensure thorough preparation. Head coach Sarwar Imran is being assisted by Alamgir Kabir, who is working closely with the pace bowlers and focusing on fielding drills. Alamgir has been involved since the start of the training camp, taking over pace bowling duties previously overseen by Rabiul Islam.
