| The government has issued a gazette notification amending the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Rules 2014 to facilitate a special BCS examination.
The Ministry of Public Administration published the gazette on Tuesday night (May 27).
It has been confirmed that the 48th BCS will be a special edition, and the rules have been amended specifically for this purpose.
According to sources at the Ministry of Public Administration, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been instructed to organise the special BCS to recruit 683 lecturers for the education cadre and 3,030 doctors for entry-level positions in the health cadre. The rule amendment was made as part of this recruitment process.
