MT Desk: Parimal Chandra Chakraborty, General Manager, EEF Unit, Bangladesh Bank Head Office has been promoted as Executive Director on 02.01.2022. He was born in Dhalkund village of Sanora union under Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district. He obtained an honors and postgraduate degree in Botany from the then Jagannath College (now Jagannath University). He also holds an MBA from Pundra University of Science and Technology. He successfully completed the course "Advanced Certificate Course on Human Resources Management" under the supervision of IBA, University of Dhaka. Chakraborty joined Bangladesh Bank in 1993 as Assistant Director. Apart from the head office, he held various important positions in the offices of Bangladesh Bank, Bogura and Rangpur. During his career he has faithfully carried out his duties in the Inspection Department, Banking Department, Department of Currency Management, Debt Management Department, Human Resources Department, Law Department, Equity and Entrepreneurship Fund Unit. He received the Bangladesh Bank Employees Recognition Award-2016 as an award for efficiency in Bangladesh Bank. As part of his professional duties, he has participated in meetings, seminars and workshops in various countries, including Singapore, Slovakia, Germany, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Thailand and Bhutan.
